Seawater desalination is an important source of high-quality incremental water, which is of great significance for alleviating water shortages in coastal areas and islands and ensuring water safety. In order to promote the high-quality development of the seawater desalination industry and promote the large-scale utilization of seawater desalination, my country's 14th Five-Year Plan proposes to promote the scale of seawater desalination and marine energy. Regardless of the way seawater talks, cost control and impact on the environment have been the two biggest challenges. The cost of seawater desalination is mainly concentrated in equipment investment, energy consumption, maintenance and so on. After years of hard work, in the fields of pretreatment, reverse osmosis and other equipment, my country has been able to completely independently produce and control costs. Reverse osmosis, commonly referred to as ultrafiltration, utilizes reverse osmosis membranes that can only pass solvents but not solutes to separate seawater and freshwater. Its energy consumption is only 1/2 of the electroosmosis method and 1/40 of the distillation method. It can be seen that energy saving has become one of the outstanding advantages of the anti-dou method.

 

As a high-efficiency and energy-saving technology, reverse osmosis seawater desalination technology uses a high-pressure pump to pressurize the raw seawater, so that the reverse osmosis working pressure reaches 5.0 ~ 7.0 MPA (depending on seawater salinity), and then the pressurized seawater flows to the reverse osmosis membrane of the reverse osmosis membrane. Membrane, part of which becomes fresh water through reverse osmosis membrane. This process remains unchanged, generally does not require heating, low energy consumption, low operating costs, no pollution, easy operation, convenient operation, high water quality, and has many advantages, becoming one of the energy-saving technologies for seawater and salt water desalination.
