Digital display liquid pressure densitometer is mainly used to determine the density of drilling fluid. The instrument minimizes the impact of air or other gases mixed in the drilling fluid on the determination of drilling fluid density by injecting a sample of drilling fluid into a sample cup with fixed volume under pressurized conditions. This air volume may be reduced or eliminated by pressurizing the sample cup, which will then give more accurate density readings of the fluid close to the underground condition.

It can give more accurate density results compared with conventional densitometer. The measurement range of the instrument is 0.1~10 (g/cm3) and the accuracy can reach ±0.001 g/cm3.
